When the mountains green up and downtown Andrews opens its sidewalks to neighbors and visitors, spring feels like a street fair. The town’s verified late-April celebration is the Andrews Spring Fling Street Fair & Nature Expo—the event to plan around if you’re dreaming of blossoms, crafts, and Main Street energy.
What is Spring Fling?
Per the Andrews Chamber’s VisitAndrewsNC Spring Fling page, the fair stretches along Main Street from Fairview Road to Oak Street. Expect local vendors, downtown shops and eateries, a food court with live music, a KidZone, and nature-minded demos—fly fishing, cooking, and similar hands-on learning have been part of recent years. The Chamber notes handicapped parking near the center of the festival.
The 2026 edition was held Saturday, April 25, 2026, 11 a.m.–5 p.m. (sponsored on the Chamber page by Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River). The 2027 date will be posted by the Chamber.
A short history
According to Visit Andrews, Eve Miranda started an Earth Day celebration in 2009. The library took the lead in 2016, and by 2018 the library and Chamber rebranded the gathering as Spring Fling, expanding into a Street Fair & Nature Expo that quickly became a community favorite.
Looking ahead to 2027
A 2027 Spring Fling date has not been posted on the Chamber site yet. When it is, it will appear on visitandrewsnc.com/spring-fling/ and the signature events list. You can also read our earlier Spring Fling feature here: Celebrate Earth Day at the Andrews Spring Fling Street Fair & Nature Expo.
